DoughNuts

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
1 tsp salt
2 cups of warm water
2 tsp of baking powder
2 Tablespoons of Yeast
Flour

I fried mine in a deep fryer set to 325 degrees. I also cut the recipe in half for us on Sunday. We had plenty for 10 people. I dissolved the yeast in the sugar & water then added the other ingredients until it was fairly stiff. I left it on the mixer (with dough hooks) and stirred it down each time it got too high. I stirred it down several times in two hours. Then I took the dough and kneaded it slightly in a trace of flour, just barely enough to keep it from sticking to the table. Then i rolled it out, cut the shapes and left it to rise an hour with a cloth on top. When you lift them into the oil remember to put the side that was up in the air into the oil first.
